I keep an LED flashlight in my car at all times. It has surprising lasted a long time. LED flashlights destroy batteries. The beam will go 450 yards and will easily make out an area if it's dark enough. My dad actually stole my pocket sized LED flashlight. That thing went about 100 to 200 yards easy.
